Summary
The Site Manager, also known as the Site Project Manager or Site Project-In-Charge, is the principal on-site representative responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution. They ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Acting as the project's leader on the ground, they are the point of contact for workers, subcontractors, and any site visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee daily on-site operations and coordinate all phases of the construction process.
Implement the project plan, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
Direct and supervise staff, subcontractors, and craft workers to achieve project objectives.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, risk assessments, and method statements.
Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, maintaining inventory control.
Conduct regular site meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and coordinate tasks.
Maintain quality control procedures to ensure that work meets specifications and standards.
Liaise with architects, engineers, and the wider project team to resolve any construction issues.
Prepare and submit project reports, maintaining accurate records of progress, budgets, and changes.
Act as the first point of contact for project stakeholders and site visitors.

Additional Information
The Site Manager will be based on the project site and must be prepared to deal with all the physical conditions of an active construction environment. This includes exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and dust. The role may involve standing for long periods and some heavy lifting. Safety is of utmost importance, so the Site Manager will always be expected to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all site personnel adhere to safety protocols. The job may require working outside of standard office hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet project demands or to address any urgent issues that arise.

Indoor and outdoor, and adapt to changing weather conditions.
Travel Requirement
May need to travel between different sites and office when required.
