The Kenmore Group of Companies (KGOC) is one of the largest and most established groups in Papua New Guinea with six diverse operations, comprising of Agriculture, Automotive, Finance, Steel, Air Conditioning, Property and Transport. Our diverse workforce of over 1,400 employees is made up of people from all provinces of PNG and from different parts of the world.
The original Kenmore Group was founded in early 1970 by Dr Lucio C. Tan who was invited by then Prime Minister, Sir Julius Chan, to invest in PNG. Dr Lucio Tan first investment in PNG was in Melanesian Tobacco Pty Ltd in 1976. From humble beginnings the company expanded into steel manufacturing and property investments whilst continuing in agriculture. A merger of two similarly diverse groups in 1991 forms today what is known as the Kenmore Group of Companies. With changes to the Companies Act 1997, and through acquisitions and mergers the Kenmore Group of Companies today, consists of the current portfolio:
Atlas Steel PNG: The largest supplier of structural steel, reinforcing steel, merchant steel, pipes and plates in Papua New Guinea. It also locally manufactures and sells a wide range of products include nails, fencing, reinforcing mesh, roofing, cladding, purlins, processed reinforcing steel, and rainwater and hollow-ware products.
Daikin PNG: The industry's leading PNG Company providing heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions to a broad range of residential commercial and industrial customers throughout PNG.
First Investment Finance Limited: Is amongst PNG's premiere providers of financial products from foreign exchange & treasury transactions to lending and investments.
Rumion Farm: Operates PNGs largest piggery of 12,000 head of pig plus 4,000 beefherd and corn plantation which is situated on a 4,600 hectare property located 90kms from Lae in the fertile Markham Valley of the Morobe Province.
FedEx Express: PNGs number one provider of business-to-business express delivery services in Papua New Guinea for air and sea freight forwarding and customs clearing. FedEx is able to offer its customers an extensive domestic and international network, integrated with the latest technology.

PNG Motors: A locally owned and operated business that has been serving the motoring needs of Papua New Guinea since 1971. Niu Ford, a subsidiary of PNG Motors, imports, distributes and services a range of four-wheel drive passenger and commercial vehicles, for the PNG market, backed by a nation-wide spare parts network.
