The Company
Our client is a regional company with worldwide investments in PNG and the Asia Pacific Regions. Renowned for its rapid expansion within Asia Pacific Regions, the company boasts a diverse investment portfolio that includes commercial and retail buildings.

The Role
The company is seeking to recruit a qualified Building Manager to be based in Port Moresby and will report directly to General Manager. The successful candidate is responsible for overseeing building maintenance of commercial buildings. This opportunity is suited to someone with extensive experience in building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day building maintenance operations for 3 key buildings.
  • Coordinate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, and other building maintenance and equipment repair work as required.
  • Schedule and supervise routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections; diagnose problems; and make appropriate repairs or coordinate repairs with outside contractors.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations, completing reports on time.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and plans for efficient maintenance, including workplace health and safety.
  • Ensure the building is safe, functional, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable working environment.
  • Coordinate with various service providers for specialised repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of building operations and maintenance activities.
Qualifications and skills
  • Electrical Degree preferred however not essential.
  • Proven 5+ years’ experience in building maintenance and/or facility management, property management is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (Electrical and plumbing)
  • Strong Communication and organisational skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proficiency in MS word and Excel.
  • Preference will be given to PNG Nationals.
