The Role
The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operational processes across various service areas, including storage management, transportation, customs operations, and stevedoring. This role emphasises resource efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction, with a strong focus on driving strategic operational improvements and ensuring the smooth execution of all logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain operational processes, ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Develop strategic and operational objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Improve systems, processes, and best practices in logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor forecasts, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Lead, train and motivate operational teams while monitoring KPIs and quality controls.
  • Analyse financial data and operational metrics to improve profitability and service delivery.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Operations Management or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, storage, warehouse management, or related industries.
  • Strong planning, coordination, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Effective written, verbal, and non-verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to details.
  • Proficiency in operational systems, warehouse management, and inventory control software.
  • Good physical and mental health, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to manage confidential information.
  • Role is open to both Expatriates and PNG Nationals.
