Cargo Officer (Daru)

We are pleased to announce open vacancy now exists in our Daru, Operations Division for interested,qualified and experienced Cargo Officer.

Based in Daru Airport this position reports to Airport Manager. The role of the position is to precisely coordinate and handle customer/client cargo consignement.

The Cargo Officer will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

• Adhere to SOPs for proper cargo handling
• Attention to detail
• Monitoring and rejecting of NOT allowed cargo
• Proper record keeping for cargo movements/consignement for both incoming and outgoing
• Ensure cargoes are loaded on the aircraft
• Properly arranging, sorting and storing cargo
• Meeting cargo operations requirement

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or grade 12 qualification.
• 1-3 years of work experience in cargo handling roles or relative fields
• Sober habits and flexible
• Can work under minimun supervision
• Display a sound understanding of customer service responsibilites in the aviation industry.
• Hard working, trustworthy and results oriented/focused.
• Computer literate: proficient in MS software (MS Word, MS Excel).
