POSITION DESCRIPTION

CARPENTER SUPERVISOR

1. ACCOUNTABILITY: Accountability to the Technical Services Manager
   
   
2. SCOPE: To provide and manage all building and construction oversight, procedures and systems at Banz campus.
   
   
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and lead a team of skilled carpenters in various projects.
• Read and interpret building plans and technical documents effectively.
• Ensure quality standards are met while adhering to safety regulations.
• Coordinate work schedules and manage project time lines.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Plan, coordinate and allocate daily, weekly and monthly tasks
• Do evaluation of work completed
• Create a safe working environment and high standard of work within the workshop and project sites
• Complete all appropriate paperwork
• Making sure spiritual health of workmen is not compromised so God’s Kingdom is advanced through skills and creativity of the members of the team.
• To help train and skill workers in different areas of your expertise
• Work with the Technical Manager on different tasks
• Receive a signed maintenance requisition forms from Technical Service and coordinate and assigned work.
• Handling quotations and material costing
• Lead Teams to put up new buildings as directed by the Technical Services Manager
• Making sure proper inventory of equipment is kept so that equipment are in proper condition for work.

4. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

4.1 Relevant Technical and Trade Certificates

4.2 Grade 12 qualification.

4.3 Proven ability to supervise and lead a team of carpenters effectively.

4.4 Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry/building and construction industry.

4.5 Biblical training and demonstration of spiritual leadership is essential
