COOK- LAE BASE

International Food Corporation Ltd, the leading manufacturer of Besta Mackerel and Tuna products in PNG and the South Pacific, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a COOK.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

To ensure all required tasks and responsibilities had to done as required and expected in the kitchen area.

JOB Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment.
• Prepare and cook meals according to menu.
• Ensure food is prepared in a hygienic and safe manner.
• Maintains the standards of cleanliness in the working area as determined by management.
• Involves portioning and preparing fresh food, setting, clearing and cleaning of tables and equipment.
• Report damaged equipment, shortages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor
• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and other departments.
• Store food items properly and follow stock procedures.
• Must have experience in complying with company SOP.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Grade 10 or High School Certificate.
• Certificate in Cooking, Hospitality, Catering, or related field is an advantage.
• Food Safety, Hygiene certification preferred.
• minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Cook, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role.
• Experience in preparing a variety of meals, including local and international dishes.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menu standards.
