COPIER TECHNICIAN (LAE Branch)

We are seeking a skilled Copier Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing copiers and related equipment. The technician will also provide technical support to customers and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Copier Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing copying equipment. They diagnose and repair malfunctioning copy machines, photocopiers, fax machines and mail-processing equipment. This role ensures that businesses never have to worry about their copiers failing them.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installation and Setup: Unpack, install, and configure new copiers, printers, scanners, and other office equipment
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and fix copier malfunctions, from paper jams and toner issues to complex mechanical problems
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks to keep copiers running at peak performance and prevent future breakdowns
• Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering training on copier features.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies to ensure you are always prepared for repairs
• Staying Up-to-Date: Continuously learn about new technologies and repair methods to stay ahead of the curve

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Holds High school diploma and appropriate certification in HP, Konica, Canon, Xerox, Lexmark, and other printer manufacturers offer certifications
• At least three (3) years solid work experience as a copier technician to a retail industry, preferably ICT field.
• Must be residing in Lae or willing to relocate (accommodation not provided)
• A high level of technology product knowledge to support customer queries
• Passion to obtain and exceed sales/ service targets.
• Sound verbal and written communication skills
• Motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
• Physically capable of performing duties required
• Willingness to train staff
• With valid driver’s license
