CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Customer Service Officer (Waigani Branch).

The incumbent will support the day-to-day operations of the branch and play a key role in delivering excellent customer service. This includes assisting customers with account onboarding, as well as efficiently and effectively resolving queries and complaints from customers, clients, and other stakeholders. This role is based in Port Moresby and will report to the Customer Service Manager (Waigani Branch).

Primary responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, gaining their trust and respect by providing accurate and timely service and information
  • Provide high quality servicing, retention, development and expansion of customer relationships
  • Provide product opportunities to customers using proactive selling techniques, efficiently and accurately opens all branch related products
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Retail Banking products, including benefits and features, to identify and resolve customer’s needs
  • Perform teller, new account and lending responsibilities to best serve needs of the customer
  • Maintains accountability for individual contributions to the achievement of branch and team goals, encouraging self and others to achieve results
  • Meet with line manager to discuss sales strategy calls and reports results relative to current branch focus
  • Work well with other bank personnel to proactively meet customer needs in an efficient manner across all departments
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that a complaint is resolved satisfactorily
  • Prepare reports summarizing complaint data for management review
  • Meet with clients to discuss complaints and offer solutions to any problems they may be experiencing
  • Proactively deal with customer complaints and enquiries, ensuring end to end management with regular communication and feedback to customers
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Customer Service Manager (Waigani Branch).

Requirements for the role

  • Minimum certification in Business, Administration or equivalent field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be flexible, organized and can manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a demanding, collaborative, and fast-paced environment
  • Working experience with contact center technology
  • Experience working with Microsoft Windows applications
  • Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary to complete the job on a weekly basis.
