Position Title: Domestic Plumber

Location: Port Moresby

Division: WR Carpenter Properties

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Domestic Plumber to join our Properties Division. The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems used for all water supply networks, sewage and drainage in accordance with specifications and regulations in residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

- Installations; set up pipes, fixtures, (sinks, toilets, faucets, showers) and supports for water, gas or
liquid systems.
- Repairs and maintenance; mend or replace broken pipes, clear clogged drains, repair gas leaks, and
drain or flush water heaters.
- Pipe work; thread, ream, assemble, caulk, solder and weld various types of pipes and component
fittings.
- Equipment service; maintain hot water boilers, kitchen equipment, pumps and related sanitary or
steam components.
- Compliance & Safety; abide by local building codes, safety rules and proper tool management
protocol.

Qualifications and Requirements

- PNG citizen with High School diploma or vocational certificate.
- Must be aged 25+.
- Possess a valid plumbing and gas fitting license.
- Experience; over two years of hands-on experience in plumbing works.
- Technical skills; ability to read technical blueprints and diagrams, strong problem-solving skills and
knowledge of safety regulations.
- Communication; good verbal and written communication skills is required for coordinating with
suppliers, procurement teams and other departments.
