Credit Corporation Properties Limited seeks an experienced person to fill in the role of Electrician.

The Electrician Technician/ Electrician role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment and appliances at all CC sites. As the need arises, the incumbent may be required to perform other work as instructed by Management. You must ensure all equipment and facilities at CC sites are always in good running condition and fully functional. When rostered, you will be required to attend after-hours callouts. This role is based in Port Moresby.

Prime Responsibilities:

• Oversee all major equipment and facilities, including but not limited to air-conditioning systems, appliances, elevators, generators, water pumps, gym equipment, and other fixtures & fittings.
• Maintain the Properties' fixtures, furniture, and fittings, ensuring good workmanship that allows the maximum possible useful life and usage of facilities by minimizing the effects of wear and tear.
• Ensure all work orders are attended to at the allocated time as soon as possible and ensure the completed work orders are submitted are completion of the Service Coordinator daily for processing.
• Conduct immediate repairs of equipment in emergencies. Complete repair works within established deadlines and work with third-party contractors to ensure outsourced repairs are completed in a timely manner.
• Complete the handovers to the Manager within the specific time frame all periodic or other checklists.
• Carry out regular and/or scheduled inspection of the properties, reporting maintenance requirements or defects to the Supervisor immediately for corresponding actions.
• Where necessary, seek approval from the Supervisor or OiC Repair & Maintenance to allocate time and resources for any work that needs to be completed after hours.
• Discuss and liaise with the Supervisor or OiC Repair & Maintenance to order supplies, parts, and materials required for maintenance.
• Maintain parts, materials, and tools register in accordance with the set policy and procedures.
• IMMEDIATELY inform Supervisor or OiC Repair & Maintenance if outside contractors are required to service and maintain facilities/equipment for repairs that are beyond your expertise and supervise completion of these jobs.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and the work environment are SAFE to minimize the possibility of accidents or injury BEFORE commencing any work on site.

Requirements for the role:

• Trade Certificate in Electrical or similar.
• Must have at least 3 years of proven work experience as an Electrician.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
• Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Customer service attitude
