About the Role
The organisation is currently seeking an Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Specialist to lead the development and implementation of strategies that enhance ESG performance across logistics operations. In this role, you will focus on reducing environmental impact, promoting ethical practices, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting social initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement programs to reduce carbon emissions, improve fuel efficiency, and promote sustainable practices across the business operations.
  • Monitor environmental metrics and explore renewable energy, low-emission technologies, and waste reduction solutions.
  • Ensure safe and ethical working conditions, align logistics practices with ESG policies, support social initiatives in education, health, and economic development, and ensure compliance with ethical standards.
  • Ensure compliance with PNG’s environmental regulations, labour laws and international ESG standards.
  • Conduct ESG risk assessment, particularly related to supply chain transparency and community relations and prepare timely reports for stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyse data, track performance, identify trends and prepare sustainability reports and presentations.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to understand ESG requirements, influence practices, and drive alignment with corporate sustainability goals.
Requirements of the Role
  • Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years in ESG, sustainability, or corporate social responsibility, ideally in logistics, shipping, transportation, or extractive industries in PNG or the Pacific region.
  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks and sustainability reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills for data collection, metrics tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill to collaborate with diverse teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple prioritise and deliver results in in a fast-paced environment.
