About the Role
As the
Finance & Administration Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s financial operations and administrative functions. Based in Port Moresby, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reporting processes, and coordinating travel arrangements to support business operations.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational, collaboration, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and the Finance Team Leader to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate the primary finance email inbox and assist with the end-to-end accounts payable function.
- Maintain the spending proposal register to ensure accurate tracking of financial commitments.
- Provide secondary support for travel logistics and bookings as required by the team.
- Undertake general financial and administrative tasks as directed by the Finance and Travel Team Supervisor.
- Demonstrate reliability and a willingness to work overtime or on weekends when essential for operational needs.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Relevant qualifications or professional experience in accounting or a similar field is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Prior experience in travel services booking is an advantage, or a strong willingness to train on the job.
- Proven ability to multitask with a keen attention to detail and a highly organized approach to work.
