What you’ll do:

This role is responsible in providing financial business partnering with the organisation providing a service-based partnering approach by effectively delivering qualitative financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, support business initiatives and projects, and timely responding to ad hoc queries and requests.

This role is based in Port Moresby, however there will also be required travel to field locations.

This position supports the following stakeholders and as directed by Finance Management:

• PNG Country Chair and Executive VP Stakeholder Engagement
• Regional Manager (Operations Support, Security)
• Logistics and Supply Chain Management department and their respective department teams

Key accountabilities include:

• Timely completion of month-end and periodic financial close-out activities ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly and periodic qualitative management financial reports, including qualitative analysis of underlying variances and cost drivers to support business stakeholders in their decision making.
• Assist with preparation, consolidation and reporting of the annual budget and the periodic forecasts (Lead Estimates) for the designated business stakeholders and departments within the deliverable timelines and expectations.
• Providing Joint Venture financial business partnering support and regulatory reporting as required.
• Provide accounting support, training and guidance to the business stakeholders in close consultation with PNG Finance Management.
• Assist the Finance Management in implementing value-added business initiatives and process improvements.

What you’ll bring:

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business and extensive experience in a related work force. Your ability to communicate, present, proven attention to detail, and analytical skills are essential, along with:

• Highly conversant with MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Experience with ERP and BI systems.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, working in a deadline driven environment.
