2. Introduction of the Position

The Finance and Accounts Manager leads the company’s financial operations, reporting, and accounting functions. This role ensures accurate financial records, strong internal controls, and timely insights to support business decision-making and growth.

3. Expected Outcome of the Job

Within 12 months, the Finance and Accounts Manager will:

• Deliver monthly financial reports by the 5th business day of the new month with 100% accuracy
• Implement cost-saving initiatives that reduce overheads
• Strengthen financial controls and ensure full compliance with stanadard financial pratices and audit requirements

4. Working Relationship

• Reports to: Deputy General Manager
• Direct Reports: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Finance Officers
• Key Internal Stakeholders: Managing Director, Project Manager and Operations Team, Procurement Coordinator, Fleet Coordinator, Admin/HR
• Key External Stakeholders: Auditors, Banks, Suppliers
  
  

5. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll if required, adhoc expenses, petty cash and general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
• Ensure compliance with IRC, IPA, Superanuation funds and other financial regulations
• Lead audits and liaise with department heads
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Provide commercial insights to support strategic decisions

7. Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance. CPA's preferred
• Experience: 5+ years in finance, 2+ years in a management role
• Skills: MYOB/Xero, Advanced Excel, Leadership and any other accounting softwares.
