Credit Corporation Properties Limited seeks an experienced person to fill in the role of Fixed Asset Officer.

The Fixed Assets Officer, key custodian of all physical assets from acquisition to disposal, will be responsible for managing all fixed assets of Credit Corporation properties in PNG. The incumbent is responsible for recording the cost of all newly acquired fixed and movable assets, maintaining records of these assets, ensuring that throughout their lifecycle, they are properly capitalized, maintained, utilized, and disposed off appropriately. This role is based in Port Moresby.

Prime Responsibilities:

• Create, update and maintain the Fixed Assets Register for all Assets, ensuring appropriate classification and categorising in Empower and Pulse.
• Maintain Monthly WIP Reconciliations of all Capital-related WIP.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet Fixed Assets Accounts
• Accurately record asset movements, including acquisitions, disposals, and internal transfers, ensuring compliance with Finance Policies.
• Audit Compliances – assist with Internal & External Audits by providing necessary documentations and schedules for Fixed Assets.
• Prepare and provide periodic fixed asset updates to the Management team.
• Track fixed asset costs on project profitability in consultation with Facility Manager
• Conduct periodic audits, spot checks and physical verification and counting to ensure compliance with fixed asset accounting rules.
• Manage an active depreciation schedule to assure the book value of the asset is constantly updated and appropriate taxes are applied and paid
• Liaise with end users to ensure the licensing (where required) and asset registry (specifications – Brand, Models. SN, etc.) are integrated into Pulse – Asset Management Section and are being strictly adhered to.
• Provide a fixed asset utility report with recommendations to management on (remainder) asset life, maintenance and replacement costs, impairment cost etc.

Requirements for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, business, or accounting.
• Must have at least 3-5 years work experience in a similar industry.
• Knowledge of various accounting software.
• Must possess good knowledge of asset categorisation/ classification and experience planning and executing audits.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute in a timely manner.
• High integrity, maintaining confidentiality of company records;
• Excellent communications (verbal and written)/interpersonal skills.

• Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, outlook, and database systems)
