Position Vacant: Forklift Operator

Function: Supply Chain

Location: Port Moresby

We have an immediate requirement for a Forklift Operator to ensure efficient delivery of SPB products to depots and customers and support the production team in supplying products on time and in full.

Main duties include:

• Ensure all planned daily orders are picked or loaded and dispatched in a timely manner.
• Ensure stock rotation (FIFO and LIFO) is continually maintained as per locations.
• Ensure all stocks are correctly picked from the lot or batch and location as specified by depot clerk or supervisor.
• Assist production departments in securing the supply of raw and packaging materials, as well as facilitating the unloading of fully packaged beer from the palletizer.
• Keep accurate records (tally) of materials supplied and returned from production.
• Must ensure forklift safety is adhered to within the brewery.
• Ensure general housekeeping is maintained.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have grade 10-12 certificate.
• Proven experience in similar role with a valid class 7 forklift driver’s license.
• Possess sound knowledge in forklift safety operations.
• Result oriented, show initiative and able maintain a sense of urgency.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility to work on shift rotation and during weekends as required.
• Has a valid police clearance.
