Islands Petroleum (IP) is an independently owned fuel and lubes distributor, and the exclusive distributor for Mobil lubricants in Papua New Guinea. With the head office based in Kokopo, Islands Petroleum also operates bulk fuel depots in Rabaul, Kimbe, Konebada, Kavieng, Alotau, Popondetta/Oro Bay and Mt. Hagen as well as lubes and fuel distribution warehouses in Lae, Port Moresby, and Madang.

We are currently seeking for a Graduate Lubricant Engineer for our Sales and Marketing Department to be based at Gordons, Port Moresby.

The Role & Responsibilities

• A will be providing technical support to lubricant related matters to Customers and Internal Sales Staffs
• Other key responsibilities include:
• As the technical resource for customers and internal sales staffs.
• Implementation of all technical support programs (Planned Engineering Service) and deliver lubrication solutions to customers.
• Prepare and preset training technical and sales personals on lubrication.
• Prepare standard of reports to the Sales Manager.
• Provide feedback on industry segments trends, product performance, equipment functions to manager.

Candidate Requirements

The person we seek must have the following:

• Engineering Degree prefer Mechanical.
• Strong analytical skills and good communication and negotiating skills.
• Strong Report Writing Skill
• High Safety, Health, and Environmental Awareness.
• Ability to work alone and work in teams and self-motivated and confidence.
• Technical understanding.
• Disciplined and time management.
• Be familiar with the companies HSE policies.
• Be willing to travel outside to customer sites.
