The Company

Our client, a global player in the oil and gas industry who is committed to providing reliable, affordable energy solutions in the country.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Operations Coordinator to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation’s H&S Management System across offices and operational sites. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with safety standards, supporting risk management processes, coordinating contractor H&S requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture across all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Health & Safety systems, procedures, and standards across operations
  • Assist in hazard identification, risk assessments, and management of change processes
  • Ensure compliance with Permit to Work systems and other critical safety processes
  • Conduct Health & safety audits, inspections, and monitor procedural conformance
  • Coordinate contractor and supplier health & safety prequalification, evaluations, and action plans
  • Support contract owners with HSE documentation, including HSE plans and bridging documents
  • Deliver and coordinate H&S training, awareness programs, and safety campaigns
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities and response exercises
  • Assist in incident reporting, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to H&S reporting, data analysis, and system improvements

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Safety & Environment, Engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HSE processes within industrial, oil & gas, or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of risk management and safety systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fluent in English
