The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has an immediate vacancy under Baptist Health Services, this position will be based in Kompiam Rural Hospital, Enga Province.

Human Resource Officer

Purpose of the role

Responsible to the Medical Superintendent for good effective and efficient provision of services particularly good personnel administration of human resource. For the general administration of human Resource for the District Hospital.

Outline of duties:

• Provide advise, assistance, plans for human resource development, training needs, job description, performance reviews and personal policies to the staff
• Operate within the parameter of the District Hospital Policy Guidelines, Labor Act and other relevant HR Laws
• Attend to all payroll queries of District Hospital workforce and inform District Hospital Administrator accordingly
• Maintain a personal Database for the District Hospital Health Services
• Establish disciplinary procedures

Requirements for the role:

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, Psychology or related discipline
• Must have minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role
• An understanding of Christine Health Services different Churches doctrines and principles
• Computer skills is essential, MS Office applications
• Sound knowledge of the Labour and employment laws
• Good Public Relation and Communication skills
• Must have a valid NID Card or Birth Certificate with sober work ethics
• Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, email and internet
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Christian commitment and dedication to work with Christian Health Services and must have a valid NID/Birth certificate
