CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Infrastructure Manager.

The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading a team of infrastructure engineers to maintain server and storage infrastructure, optimize system performance and ensuring security compliance for Credit Corporation PNG Limited. This role is based in Port Moresby.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of physical and IT infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and vendor relationships.
  • Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security across all sites.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to align the infrastructure with organizational goals.
  • Enforce compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to infrastructure team members.

Requirements for the role

Formal Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Network+, Azure and/or Cloud Application Certification) are a plus.

Work Experience

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or a similar role, preferably in a medium to large-sized organization. 
  • Strong knowledge of computer networks, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Experience with server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange Server.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and experience with cloud-based services.
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configuration, access controls, and vulnerability management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and end-users.
