Nestle PNG Limited is seeking a dedicated and detailed oriented IT/IS Technician for the IT Department based at our Lae Office.

Reporting directly to the IT Digital Innovation Leader & W360 FRM, Oceania, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing hardware and software support to users and Nestlé (PNG) operations, specifically in the Windows Operating System and SAP systems, to achieve set company objectives and targets while ensuring compliance with Nestlé standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for SAP systems and Windows applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Communicate promptly with users regarding incidents and follow up on open tickets and requests.
• Ensure all users comply with Quality Performance Management (QPM) standards.
• Monitor and enforce password compliance across the organization.
• Verify correct badge access for personnel on Nestlé premises.
• Propose and implement a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for hardware, software, and databases.
• Manage system migrations as required.
• Administer the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) through the Windows Operating System
• Oversee the Windows Operating System network environment.
• Maintain accurate records of IT fixed assets and conduct an annual inventory of IT assets.
• Plan capital expenditure for IT resources.
• Liaise with external providers for communication matters and services.
• Collaborate with corporate IT bodies regarding issues, services, and supplies.
• Perform any additional tasks as required by the Finance & Control team.

Qualification, skills, and experience:

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to build trust and foster effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the use of MS Office Suite; knowledge of SAP systems is desirable.
