Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled IT Officer based in Jiwaka to provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, copiers, and other IT systems. This role focuses on ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, resolving technical issues, and maintaining network, hardware, and software efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Desktop & Laptop Support – Diagnose and resolve issues with operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Copier & Printer Maintenance – Provide troubleshooting and routine servicing for office automation devices.
• Network & Connectivity Assistance – Maintain LAN/WAN performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network stability.
• Hardware & Peripheral Setup – Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including workstations, monitors, and accessories.
• Software & System Updates – Ensure applications, OS updates, and security patches are properly deployed.
• Cybersecurity & Data Protection – Support security implementations, ensuring compliance with IT policies.
• User Support & IT Training – Assist employees with system inquiries, providing guidance on best practices.
• Incident Documentation & Reporting – Maintain records of technical issues, resolutions, and recommendations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 2-3+ years of experience in IT support, system administration, or technical troubleshooting.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, copiers, and office equipment.

This role is based in Jiwaka. However, candidates applying must be flexible to travel to and work in Mt. Hagen when required.
