Jumbo Operator

We are currently seeking experienced Underground Jumbo Operator, Our Client is one of the largest international mining operators in Papua New Guinea. The Company has a track record of consistent safety and production, and provides a family friendly and supportive working environment.

We are seeking experienced front line jumbo operators to join our dynamic team. These positions will require self-motivation, drive and multi-skilling.

The ideal candidates will be proactive, forward-thinking, with a strong ability to mentor and lead by example, imparting skills and experience to fellow team members.

Essential Criteria

• Must have full working rights in PNG
• National Police Clearance
• 10+ years’ mining experience
• 5+ years Jumbo experience
• Adhere to WHS policies and procedures
• Recognised RPL achievements

Advantageous Criteria

• Safe Working at Heights
• First Aid Certificate
• Current & Valid Dangerous Goods Security Card
• Confined Space

You must be self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and willingness to work in a small and effective team. Your success depends on your integrity, dedication, teamwork, and strong communication skills.

You will have:

• Extensive knowledge of safe work practices and techniques applied in underground mining.
• Methodical approach to completing tasks, well organised and the ability to work autonomously.
• Capacity to think laterally and work through obstacles with sound communication, both verbal and written.
• Experience with working in production and development crews or operating in this environment (i.e. stope drilling, charging).
• Excellent customer service skills, able to build and maintain successful working relationships.
• Respect and understanding of confidentiality.
