The Role
Based in Port Moresby, the Learning & Development Lead is a pivotal leadership position reporting to the National Talent & Development Manager. You will be the operational engine behind the organisations training initiatives, ensuring staff development programs align perfectly with our Long-Term Business Plan and workforce capability needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage the annual training calendar and budgets (OPEX/CAPEX) while analyzing ROI on all learning initiatives.
  • Program Coordination: Oversee internal and external training programs, including apprenticeships, graduate intakes, and technical institutional partnerships.
  • Capability Building: Identify emerging skills gaps and implement Career Pathways and capability development frameworks.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain accurate training records and prepare comprehensive monthly reports for stakeholders.
  • Safety & Growth: Integrate OH&S (ANZEN) standards into all training and provide coaching to trainers and supervisors.
Key Requirements
  • A recognised qualification in Training & Development or a related field.
  • 3+ years in an L&D, training coordination, or HR development role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Ability to influence and coach others, with high integrity and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Primarily office-based in Port Moresby, with a willingness to travel to operational sites as required.
