What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Provide sharp, strategic legal advice and representation across a broad range of commercial matters.
  • Deliver clear, commercially sound legal solutions—on time, every time.
  • Champion integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in everything you do.
  • Take ownership of legal files, systems, and digital records—ensuring they’re always court-ready.
  • Stay ahead of legal trends and industry developments to remain at the top of your game.
  • Build strong partnerships and collaborate across business areas.
  • Draft and negotiate high-impact commercial agreements.
  • Help shape legal strategy and support regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Share knowledge, mentor junior team members, and strengthen team capability.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Law degree and admission to practise in the National and Supreme Court of Papua New Guinea.
  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate and commercial legal work.
  • Banking background is preferred or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of legal principles with the ability to analyse complex issues.
  • Skilled in legal drafting and confident in presenting your views.
  • Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and legal database tools.
  • Excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset.
