ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lending Support Officer, you will play a vital role in the loan process by handling a variety of tasks, including loan documentation, funding and client support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete and review credit, legal and security documents and other necessary documents.
  • Prior to loan settlement, ensure all relevant documents are submitted and executed properly and all conditions precedents are met.
  • Assist with the registration of chattel and property mortgages
  • Answer enquiries, addressing concerns and provide assistance to customers and staff regarding loans.
  • Maintain accurate and organized loan files, including security, insurance and other relevant documents.
  • Ensure compliance with regulators and internal credit policies and procedures and understand specific requirements for different loan types
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of loan data in the core banking system
  • Assist Relationship Managers and Lending Support staff with various tasks, including loan processing, documentation and communication.
  • Assist with the preparation of credit and status reports

REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary qualification in finance and accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years or more in Banking and Financial Lending experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in Commercial or Corporate Lending is desirable.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures and written instructions
  • Knowledge of banking products and clear understanding of loan documentation will be an advantage
