Operating in Papua New Guinea for over 30 years, Nestle PNG Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Line Leader – Loss & Waste Control with to join our Production Team, based at our Lae Factory.

Reporting to the Line Manager, the role provides production support through the management and analysis of waste, losses, inventory variances, and performance data, partnering with Production, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Finance & Control to drive cost control, materials governance, and continuous improvement, and covering Line Leader duties when required.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and analyse waste, losses, yields, cost drivers, and production performance data
• Identify root causes of losses and support effective corrective actions.
• Monitor and report production and cost KPIs to drive loss reduction and cost discipline.
• Ensure accurate and reconciled production and inventory records, including material usage and variances.
• Support materials planning, handling, and inventory control aligned with production needs.
• Work closely with Production Line Leaders, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Finance & Control to align performance and inventory controls.
• Support stock counts, audits, and variance investigations in line with control and compliance requirements.
• Provide operational and analytical support to Production Line Leaders, including temporary cover as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, food safety, regulatory, and GMP standards.

Qualification, skills, and experience:

• Full accounting qualification — mandatory
• 1–2 years’ relevant experience in accounting, operations finance, inventory control, or losses management
• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is an advantage
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, waste/loss analysis, and inventory management
• Working knowledge of safety, quality, food safety, and GMP requirements
• Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to influence teams and provide operational support or cover when required
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
