Summary

The AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems. They play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of AC units in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, and maintain air conditioning systems and components.
  • Diagnose and repair AC system malfunctions and issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing filters.
  • Recharge refrigerant and perform leak tests as needed.
  • Calibrate controls and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with AC equipment.
  • Advise clients on AC system maintenance and energy-saving practices.
  • Order and maintain inventory of AC parts and supplies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as an AC Technician or HVAC Technician.
  • Relevant technical certification or diploma.
  • Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems and components.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Physical fitness for lifting and working in various settings.
