Leading Asia Pacific hotel chain has an opportunity for a driven, steadfast, passionate and hands-on Maintenance Manager with a deep understanding of building codes and Health & Safety regulations. This organisation prioritises exceptional service and strives to deliver unforgettable experiences for guests staying in-house, attending conferences, and dining at their establishments.

The Role

This exciting position, reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, requires 5-6 years of work experience in maintenance, planning, and management within a hotel or commercial industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise and knowledge in air-conditioning, electrical installation, and commercial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring efficient and safe services.
  • Manage budgets and maintain financial records.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between management and staff.
  • Ensure effective operations, productivity, and compliance with standards.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Lead department briefings and delegate tasks.
  • Monitor equipment, resources, and stock.
  • Provide reports on service and audits.
  • Keep the GM updated on maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Engineering or Certified Trades qualification.
  • Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Computer literate and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Compliant with building codes and high safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Mature, stable temperament, and deadline-oriented.
  • Committed to guest satisfaction with a positive attitude.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar position
