The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea (BUPNG) has immediate vacancies for the following positions. These are full time positions based in Telefomin Rural Hospital, Sandaun Province.

Manager – Nursing Administration (8CHSSAN061) PS15

Purpose of the role

The role reports to the Hospital Executive Manager, for effective and efficient provision of nursing health services in the Hospital. Provide leadership and sound management and clinical to the hospital wards for the resilient delivery of standard nursing care to patients in the Hospital.

Outline of duties:

• Attends, participates and contributes to the management meetings, plans and executive policies and programs, and corporately manage the organization.
• Preparation and submission of a Five-Year Health Training Plan for the Division of Family Health
• Will be responsible for the provision of data preparation and submission of the annual Nursing Services Operational budgets for the hospital.
• Facilitate effective implementation of the Hospital Standards and Clinical Governance programs and sustain these programs in the hospital
• Preparation and submission of the Nursing Services Divisional Report annually for the Management and board.
• Facilitate and support the Directorate of Public Health Services effectively at the Provincial Hospital and at the District Health Facilities.
• Facilitate effective implementation of the Division of Family Health, and that is to coordinate and manage the core business of Family Health Services in promotion and preventive aspects of diseases and conditions relating all the respective wards of the hospital.

Requirements for the role:

• Must have Bachelor in Clinical Nursing, paediatric/Midwife/Acute Care Nurse
• Diploma in Nursing Administration would be an advantage
• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role or senior role in a hospital and must possess high level Health Administration /Nursing in council Ethical Standards.
• Must be registered with PNG Nursing Council
• Must be a person with high standards and good qualities in clinical practice, social habits, and community relations and in spiritual life.
• Good Public Relation and Communication skills
• Must have a valid NID Card or Birth Certificate and good work ethics
