PNG Motors is one of Papua New Guinea’s leading automotive groups, representing brands like Ford, Mazda, Hyundai, Suzuki, JMC and Joylong. Our marketing team supports multiple brands, dealerships, campaigns, promotions, events, and customer enquiries across the business.

We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our Port Moresby team and help manage customer communication, Facebook enquiries, reception enquiries, CRM updates, and lead referrals to the right dealership teams.

This is not just a “posting on Facebook” role. This is a front-line marketing support role where every enquiry needs to be captured, entered into the CRM correctly, assigned to the right person, and followed up properly.

If the CRM is messy, leads get lost. If leads get lost, sales opportunities are missed. That cannot happen in this role.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for helping manage customer enquiries coming through Facebook, online channels, phone calls, walk-ins, and customer reception.

That includes responding professionally to messages, collecting the right customer details, entering leads into the CRM, updating customer records, assigning enquiries to the correct dealership or sales team, and tracking whether follow-up has happened.

You’ll help keep the CRM clean, accurate, and useful. Customer names, contact numbers, vehicle interest, enquiry source, follow-up status, salesperson assignment, and notes must be entered properly — not guessed, rushed, or left blank.

You’ll also monitor open enquiries, update lead progress, flag missed follow-ups, and help ensure no customer sits in the system without action.

You’ll work closely with sales teams to make sure leads are not only passed on, but properly recorded and followed through. A Facebook message, phone enquiry, or reception walk-in must become a proper CRM lead — not a note on someone’s desk or a message that disappears.

You’ll also support the marketing team with day-to-day campaign activities, social media coordination, basic content support, promotions, events, reporting, and general marketing administration.

The expectation is simple: capture every lead, enter it properly, assign it clearly, and follow it up.

Who This Suits

This role suits someone with strong communication skills, good organisation, and the confidence to deal with customers professionally.

You don’t need to know everything about cars, but you do need to know how to speak to people, ask the right questions, and record information accurately.

You should be comfortable using Facebook, email, Microsoft Office, and customer management systems. Experience using a CRM system will be a strong advantage.

You need to be the kind of person who understands that data matters. Wrong phone numbers, missing notes, duplicate leads, poor follow-up updates, and unclear assignments create problems for the whole business.

If a customer sends an enquiry, you don’t leave it sitting there. If a lead comes in, you make sure it goes into the CRM. If information is missing, you ask for it. If follow-up has not happened, you flag it.

This role suits someone who is sharp, reliable, and does not need to be reminded five times to complete one task.
