POSITION VACANCY

CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of Merchant Officer.

The Merchant Officer is responsible for managing relationships with merchants who use our company's products or services. This role involves onboarding new merchants, providing training and support on the use of the company's systems, resolving any issues or concerns that merchants may have, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

The Merchant Officer plays a crucial role in optimizing the merchant experience to drive business growth and enhance customer satisfaction. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach are key attributes for success in this position.

Key responsibilities

  • Setting up and configuring EFTPOS terminals for merchants.
  • Providing training and support to merchants on how to use EFTPOS systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with EFTPOS terminals.
  • Monitoring transaction activity and ensuring secure payment processing.
  • Reconciling payments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintaining and updating EFTPOS systems as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with payment industry regulations and standards.
  • Providing excellent customer service to merchants and addressing their inquiries or concerns related to EFTPOS transactions.
  • Open tickets and communicate system or settlement issues to leadership or internal partners.

Key requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business studies, Finance, Marketing, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience required.
  • 2+ years’ experience in customer service, sales, or merchant services is beneficial.
  • Experience with electronic payment systems, EFTPOS terminals, or financial transactions may also be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, software applications, and EFTPOS terminals is important.
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems and industry regulations is also valuable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with merchants, providing support, and resolving issues effectively.
