The Organisation:

Pacific Adventist University (PAU) is owned and operated by the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The institution is accredited to the Adventist Accreditation Association, an international denominational authority for all tertiary and graduate educational programs and institutions owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church entities. The main campus is located on the pristine Koiari Park, 14 miles outside Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea. The institution was established in 1984. Since then, it has grown from a college of 20 students to a university of over 1000 students from across the Pacific.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head Nurse, the University Clinic is seeking an experienced Nurse to perform the core responsibilities listed below.
Core Responsibilities:
• Provide general nursing care and clinical services at the University Clinic
• Administer medications and conduct patient examinations
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate hospital referrals
• Support community health programs (e.g., antenatal, childcare, family planning)
• Supervise student workers and maintain clinic cleanliness
• Manage drug inventory and ensure safe handling of medical supplies
• Promote Occupational Health & Safety standards
• Liaise with doctors and internal departments for patient care coordination
• Maintain accurate attendance and treatment records

About you:

Qualifications and Skills required:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized tertiary Institution in PNG
• Must be a registered nurse
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in general nursing or clinical settings
• Active Christian faith and commitment to service
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Sensitivity to diverse cultural and medical needs
• Knowledge of safe medicine handling and OHS practices
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
