K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered consistent production growth. We are now transforming the operation with a new 1.2 mtpa process plant as well as extensive construction and expansion across site that will see us triple the output from our mine by 2027. About the role

This position reports to the Coordinator, Emergency Response and will be responsible for the provision of emergency service support to the site.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Provision of Emergency Service support to the site.
  • Development and upskilling of Emergency Response Team (volunteers).
  • Develop and deliver training on relevant topics, under the direction of the ER Management Team.
  • Provide on-call/ after-hours response as required.
  • Participate in site-wide activities, comply with site-wide Policies.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have:

  • Three (3) years or more relevant experience in a heavy industry, preferably Mining.
  • Current PNG Driver’s license.
  • Advanced medical emergency response skills.
  • FIFO experience.
  • High level of physical fitness.
  • Underground mining emergency response exposure (desirable).
  • Training and Assessment experience and qualifications.
  • Proven ability to develop and then deliver training material.
  • Able to conduct briefings in English and Tok Pisin
  • Microsoft Office experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
