About the role

Assist Safety Coordinators to provide advice and guidance to site Departments and contractors on safety related matters, implementation of the K92 Safety programs and managing the site safety database.

Key Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

  • Maintain a safe work environment for all K92 employees, visitors and contractors through audits, inspections, and training.
  • Support Department and Contractor Safety Officer’s and Safety Representatives as required in the successful performance of their duties.
  • Ensure all incidents are fully investigated and recorded within the site safety data base in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct scheduled weekly and monthly safety audits and checks site wide.
  • Ensuring that the camp and mine site safety regulations are observed by all K92 employees and contractors.
  • Provide safety induction to new intakes, casuals, contractors, and visitors to site

About You

To be considered for this position, candidates must have 4 years minimum Safety work experience in an extractive industry or heavy construction environment. In addition to this, candidates should also (ideally) be able to demonstrate some or all the following.

  • Appropriate qualification in Safety Levels I, II and III
  • Completion of accredited fire training and Current First Aid certificate.
  • Well versed with safety systems that deals with compliance records and reports.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Very good end user of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel and Outlook.
