CreditBank PNG is recruiting a suitable candidate for the role of P&C Advisor (Remuneration & Benefits).

The P&C Advisor (Remuneration & Benefits) will be responsible for ensures that the compensation and benefits strategies are aligned with Credit Corporation objectives, industry standards, and legal requirements. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of People & Culture (P&C) professionals, collaborate with other departments, and be a key partner in attracting, retaining, and motivating talent through competitive and fair remuneration packages. This position reports to the Head of People & Culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day section operations including onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and payroll coordination.
  • Implement and monitor compensation strategies that align with the Credit Corporation’s goals and objectives.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market research to ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Oversee the design and execution of annual salary reviews, ensuring alignment with company budgets and performance standards.
  • Review and evaluate benefit offerings to ensure they are competitive and cost-effective, making recommendations for improvement as necessary.
  • Provide specialist advice to senior leaders and P&C business partners on pay structures, benefits, and incentive programs
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries related to remuneration and benefits programs.
  • Communicate remuneration policies and benefits offerings clearly to all employees.
  • Prepare P&C metrics and reports to support informed decision-making
  • Actively contribute to the design and delivery of P&C initiatives to position Credit Corporation as an ‘Employer of Choice’.
  • Actively contributes to the Development of Credit Corporation’s Talent Management Lifecycle and supporting frameworks, policies, and procedures to support engagement.
  • Supervise, mentor and provide guidance to the Remuneration and Benefits team
  • Other duties as directed by the Head of people & Culture

Formal Qualifications & Experiences

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • HR certifications (e.g., PNGHRI) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • Exposure to payroll management software experience, preferably with at least 2-years’ iChris experience (MANDATORY)
  • Minimum of 5 years general P&C experience and more than one year in the business partner space.
  • Strong understanding of remuneration frameworks, market benchmarking, and benefits design
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and reporting skills
  • Advanced Excel and HRMIS proficiency

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
  • High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to think strategically, while managing day-to-day operational tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Officer Suite and other P&C software applications
    • Knowledge of current HR trends, employment laws and best practices.
