Operating in Papua New Guinea for over 30 years, Nestle PNG Limited is seeking reliable. Motivated and technically skilled Packers / Operators to join our Production Team, based at our Lae Factory.

Reporting directly to the Line Leader/Supervisor, the Packers / Operators will be responsible for operating packing machines, monitoring product quality, supporting line efficiency, and ensuring all production activities comply with safety, quality, and hygiene standards. The role requires individuals with strong technical aptitude and a commitment to consistent, high‑quality operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate packing equipment safely and efficiently to deliver daily production targets.
• Monitor product quality, packaging integrity, and compliance with specifications.
• Conduct basic machine checks, adjustments, and cleaning to maintain stable line operation.
• Support changeovers, start‑ups, and shutdowns in coordination with the Line Manager and Line Leaders.
• Identify and report abnormalities, defects, or equipment concerns promptly.
• Complete production documentation accurately, including line checks, downtime reports, and material usage.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, quality, hygiene, and GMP standards at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities focused on waste reduction, line efficiency, and safety.
• Uphold high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members across Production, Quality, and Engineering to achieve operational excellence.

Qualification, skills, and experience:

• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant technical background (Engineering, Trades, Applied Science, or similar).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (FMCG experience an advantage).
• Strong mechanical or technical aptitude, with the ability to perform basic equipment checks and adjustments.
• Understanding of safety, quality, hygiene, and GMP requirements.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of a fast‑paced production role.
• Attention to detail and strong commitment to following standards and procedures.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends when required.
