JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary responsibility of the Pharmacist role is to procure, take stock, and dispense medical supplies effectively and efficiently.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

  • Conduct regular inventory audit of all medical supplies.
  • Maintain a suffecient medical and pharamaceutical supply inventory.
  • Organize and co-ordinate the procurement of medical supplies from suppliers.
  • Dispense medical supplies to Health Centres and Aid posts
  • Ensure all drugs and other medical consumables are used before their expiry dates.
  • Keep up-to-date record of medical supplies on SAP system.
  • Advice company doctors and other health professionals about new drug innovations, their adverse effects and necessary interventions.
  • Assume leadership in the absence of SIC and doctors.
  • Carry out other duties as directed by company doctors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Registered and licensed with the relevant Pharmacy or Medical Board

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing orders and schedules.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to plan and organize tasks strategically.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in hospital, clinic, industrial or community pharmacy (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in dispensing medical supplies and inventory management, including stock control, storage and expiry monitoring.
  • Experience complying with pharmaceutical regulations and professional standards,including accurate record-keeping and safe handling of medical supplies.
