PROCUREMENT OFFICER

As a member of the extended Senior Management Team, you will provide leadership in communication and advocacy initiatives aimed at changing practices for betterment of children’s lives at community and national levels. We don’t shy from new ideas; we need you to stir things up.

Where you come in:
In this full-time maximum term position based in Port Moresby, you will be responsible for ensuring that all of Save the Children’s procurement policies, processes, and procedures are followed when procuring goods and services for the country offices programmes and operations, and that all processes follow an underlying principle of value for money.

You have the ability to multitask, work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines, responsive to external requests and a strong team player. You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the flow of goods and services needed by the organization. Ensure that purchases are made efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with organizational policies. This includes identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery.
