What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role leads the delivery of the Youth Opportunity Programs, ensuring it meets targets, stays on budget, and runs on schedule. You will build key partnerships, oversee planning and monitoring, and provide timely data and reports to support leadership and stakeholder decision-making.
This position is a field-based role in Moro working a 28/28-day roster.
Key accountabilities include:
- Supports implementation of the Youth Opportunities Program, including planning, monitoring, and collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure program alignment with SF, Santos, and GoPNG policies, strategies and plans.
- Assist in developing annual budgets for activities, guided by program design and performance targets.
- Monitor and report on budget expenditure, ensuring timely forecasts for effective resource allocation.
- Provide accurate and timely program reporting to SF’s SPM and Performance team.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the SPM.
What you’ll bring:
You will have attained substantial experience in the development sector in Papua New Guinea, as well as experience in program planning and budgeting and undertaken development related needs assessments and other related M & E activities.
A diploma or degree in development areas (e.g. agriculture, education) or another Humanities field from a recognised tertiary institution in Papua New Guinea or abroad is essential. Along with a strong understanding of Papua New Guinea’s development sector, with excellent analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
