World Vision International Papua New Guinea (WVIPNG) has exciting opportunity for those of you who want a change and want to become part of a dynamic team. We are currently looking for suitable, qualified, experienced, and highly motivated professional to fill the role of Project Coordinator to be based in the Mt. Hagen, Western Highlands Province.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing necessary support both the time and resources required to continue responding to outstanding needs and gaps in the field, uphold quality standards and deliver meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
  • Develop consolidated quarterly /monthly Plan of Action for two provinces.
  • Establishing mutual relationships with key stakeholders and partners at all levels through effective communication
  • Monitor spending and manage budget to ensure spending is within approved budget.
  • Provide regular/quarterly field monitoring visits and support provincial officers, ensure implementations are aligned with the POA.

  • The Project Coordinator will work in close consultation and guidance of the Maternal Child Health Nutrition Technical Lead Finance, Monitoring and Evaluation officer and with the Area Program Team of their respective Provincial assignments.
  • Overall, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project activities, communicating with responsible departments/partners for effective collaboration which will lead to the quality delivery of the UNICEF HCD Project for World Vision Papua New Guinea.
  • Additionally, the Project Coordinator will report directly to the Portfolio Manager for effective implementation and reporting of the project activities.


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree or college qualification in nursing or public health. Preferably social sciences
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in implementing projects engaging various stakeholders/partners.
  • Experience in partners engagement and networking
  • Experience in working with Provincial and District Government /.health Offices
  • Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing
  • Experience in Community mobilization and leadership role
  • Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Basic understanding of project management cycle principles
  • Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of English.
  • Good networking and partnership development skills
  • Sound knowledge in PNG Government systems and programs
  • Computer literate
  • Communication, advocacy & facilitation skills
