About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support medium level infrastructure projects in Port Moresby. In this role, you will lead the planning, delivery, and oversight of small to medium-scale infrastructure projects. You will ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, while building strong working relationships with government agencies, contractors, and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management of small to medium infrastructure projects including planning, documentation control, quality control and handover phases
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and risk management plans
Engage and coordinate with PNG government agencies, contractors and consultants
Ensure Projects are delivered on time, within budget and to Australian standards
Prepare regular progress reports and briefings
Oversee aspects of infrastructure projects including environmental compliance and safety standards
Monitor contractor and consultant performance against contractual obligations
Implement quality assurance and quality control processes
Financial Management and budget control
Understanding of infrastructure design, construction processes and quality standards
Requirements of the Role
Minimum 5 years’ experience in infrastructure project management (building projects)
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management
Demonstrated understanding of Australian Government aid and development programs.
Proven track record managing medium-scale infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of project management software (MS Project)
Familiarity with PNG government systems and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid Class 3 or 6 driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
