Pacific Palms Property under Steamships Trading Company is in search of a proven, capable and results-driven Professional to lead property development projects, with a strong focus on hotel development projects. The role will oversee the entire project lifecycle - from requirements definition through to deployment -including scheduling, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation planning and risk mitigations.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Manager based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating internal and external resources to ensure that projects are delivered within defined scope, schedule, and budget. The role requires close collaboration with project staff across multiple functional departments. Including;

• Establish and maintain process to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects.
• Develop, maintain and track project programs including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) down and resourcing down to level of effort.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including but not limited to project stakeholders such as Architects, Engineers, Construction Firms, Landowners, Clients, Government Agencies
• Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs.
• Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed – escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.

Required Experience

Significant experience in project management including amongst other things:

• Relevant experience in Project Management.
• Proven Project portfolio demonstrating successful completing of hotel, high rise or commercial buildings projects.
• Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members capabilities and skill sets.
• Proven success working with all levels of management.

• Technical skills/knowledge.

• Outstanding emotional Intelligence.
