601 Engineering Limited is an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, specializing in the energy sector, particularly fuel storage, bulk aviation facilities, and oil and gas projects. We also provide engineering consulting services for mechanical projects and offer renovation services for commercial and government buildings.

Position Overview:
The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering projects at 601 Engineering. This role involves collaborating with project managers and teams to create realistic timelines, monitor progress, and adjust schedules as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software.
• Work closely with project managers and team members to define project milestones and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare regular status reports and updates for stakeholders.
• Facilitate scheduling meetings and coordinate with various departments to align project timelines.
• Assist in resource allocation and management to optimize project efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and best practices in project scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Previous experience in project scheduling or project management, preferably in the engineering sector.
• Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily office-based, with occasional site visits as required.
• May require flexibility in working hours to meet project deadlines.
