What you’ll do:

The role oversees purchasing for warehouse stock, ad hoc requests, and contract-related materials. Responsibilities include coordinating with material coordinators and managing procurement of high-value drilling equipment and critical spares for CPF and Hides operations.

This position is located in the Santos Port Moresby office.

Key accountabilities include:

  • "Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholder teams to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and quality compliance. Work with the contracts team to establish outline agreements."
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier performance data.
  • Partner with internal teams to assess material needs, support procurement planning, and manage inventory levels.
  • "Work with the released materials list to update and address obsolescence, alternatives, or missing information, while coordinating with the inventory team. Expedite PR-to-PO turnaround to mitigate inventory stock level risks and ensure deadlines and requirements are met."
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Expedite critical and maintenance orders, follow up on delays, and manage transport updates.
  • Resolve invoice mismatches and procurement-related queries.
  • Support vendor selection, tender processes, and pricing agreement negotiations.
  • Facilitate supply planning meetings and lead resolution of supply chain issues and safety incidents.

What you’ll bring:

The ideal candidate will have attained tertiary qualifications in the relevant field (Business, IS, Law, Engineering, Commerce) and relevant experience. Your advanced analytical and data management skills are essential for the role, along with:

  • Substantial experience in a Supply Chain Role (Scheduling, Contracts, Purchasing, Logistics).
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing and six sigma.
