QA/QC OFFICER

Reporting to the Project Manager the successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of steel (and all work and materials) are up to standards and project spec.

The successful candidate must have:

• A Diploma in Mechanical and Tradesman Boilermaker/Welder
• 3 years + experience in QA in steel fabrication
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to check all drawings & materials for compliance and errors & quality before issuing for fabrication
• Check out pre-cut marking dimensions before cutting
• Check if all meet client specification and requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite & in particular Microsoft Project, Autocad
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
