Reach Stacker Operator

Location: Lae

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible to daily check of the reach stacker based on pre-start checklist
• Responsible to operate the reach stacker for
  • Unloading containers coming into the yard from wharf
  • Loading container for deliveries
  • Internal container lifts from underbond area to customer respective stack
  • Repositioning of containers from stack to slab and vv
  • Repositioning of containers in yard
  • Customer lift requirements
• Responsible to assist on other reach stacker operator’s log sheet when not operating the machine
• Responsible to act as container locator to assist yard clerks when not operating the machine.
• Responsible to report any incident that will occur while operating the reach stacker
• Responsible to ensure that containers are stacked orderly (Facing same direction)
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the ICD Manager and/or the FCL Yard Coordinator.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as reach stacker operator minimum 2 years
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid license (minimum class 7) / certification to heavy lifting equipment
• Police clearance & medical certificate
• Honest, reliable, great work ethic and communication
• Able to work under pressure and withstand harsh environment
• Able to participate in workplace safety
• Speak, read and write in English
