The Opportunity This is a dynamic Relationship Manger role ideal for someone who knows the
Lae market inside out, to lead their newly established Lae Branch. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for expanding the client base, strengthening commercial relationships, growing both lending and investment portfolios, and maintaining strong operational performance. You'll lead a small, dedicated team and have the autonomy to drive results and shape the strategic direction of the branch.
Key Responsibilities - Local Business Development: Leverage your Lae network to identify and secure new clients across the SME and corporate sectors.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain deep, ongoing relationships with existing customers and build trust-based partnerships.
- Loan Oversight & Compliance: Approve loan documentation, manage funding processes, and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policies.
- Branch Leadership: Supervise and mentor branch staff, drive a performance culture, and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Market Insight: Use your knowledge of Lae’s economic landscape to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging risks.
What We’re Looking For - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, banking, or financial services.
- Proven extensive knowledge of the Lae business environment, with a well-established local network.
- Strong experience in credit assessment, customer relationship management, and staff supervision.
- Ability to work independently, identify business opportunities, and meet performance targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
