Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Relationship Manager to join their Lae Branch. In this pivotal role, you will originate new business, build a high-quality SME portfolio, and contribute directly to the branch’s growth and lending objectives.
You will take ownership of client relationships in Lae, driving branch growth through exceptional sales, personalised service, and strong portfolio performance, while actively identifying opportunities, building lasting partnerships, and making a tangible impact on the branch’s success.
Key Responsibilities - Source and develop SME clients, with a focus on new business acquisition and long-term relationship growth
- Structure deals, prepare credit submissions, and deliver tailored financial solutions aligned to client needs
- Deliver end-to-end sales and relationship management across the bank’s full product suite, including equipment finance, working capital facilities, overdrafts, foreign exchange (FX), and merchant services
- Achieve individual and branch portfolio growth targets while maintaining strong credit discipline and risk awareness
- Build and maintain a strong network within Lae’s SME and commercial sectors
What You Bring - 5–10+ years’ experience in SME and commercial banking in Lae preferred
- Proven ability to independently originate business and grow a client portfolio
- Strong skills in credit structuring, financial analysis, and relationship management
- Commercial acumen, negotiation expertise, and a proactive, results-driven approach
